NZ Conference 2013

International Conference 2013 October 15 - 18

Tuesday 15th

Morning: Registrations from 10am      (Executive be present to assist ‘hosting,’ taking people to their rooms)

               11.30 Powhiri (Welcome)

               12 Lunch

Afternoon: 1pm Informal sharing getting to know one another   (and registrations completed) Time for a swim in the thermal pool.

(2pm Optional music practice for singers)

3pm Afternoon tea

3.30 Keynote speaker: The Most Rev David Moxon,

Topic: What is God doing in healing in the 3rd Millennium?

Archbishop of New Zealand and Hon. OSLNZ Chaplain.

                    Followed by response opportunity in small groups to 5pm

                    5.30pm Dinner (Supper)

 

Evening programme 7pm start

               Worship (Janice)

               ‘A land blessed’: Aotearoa New Zealand

               Devotional Slideshow by Derek Lightbourne

               Conclude by 9pm with devotion (Derek)

 

Wednesday 16th

(Optional) 7.15am Morning Worship options in two venues

               Eucharist  Celebrant:

                    Morning worship using worship from NZOSL Handbook suggest Healing and Wholeness Service 2 Leader: Marian Emslie with Faye Davenport

Non-eucharistic option:

8am Breakfast

9am Morning programme –

9am Announcements (max 5 minutes)   (Use data projector repeating and have a main notice-board for posting of notices)

Worship (10 minutes) (Rachelle and Janice)

               9.15 Bible Study (Larry Mitchell)

               10.15 Morning tea

               10.45 Response - Prayer groups 

               12 Lunch

 

Afternoon Programme: 1pm Embark on trip options         (including Hobbiton (2 hours), or eco option workshop 1  and back at 5pm

(Afternoon tea – in 3 places)

3.15 – 5.15 Interactive workshop options 1 -7

5.30pm Dinner (Supper)

               Worship (Janice) and keynote address with healing prayer ministry   (Dr Annette Rice)

 

Thursday 17th

               7.15 (Optional) Morning worship Services         Bi-lingual Eucharist: Celebrant Jenny Quince

                    Morning worship in meditative style (eg celtic) – Leadership:

 

               8am Breakfast

               9am Announcements, worship (Frank and Janice)

9.15 Bible Study (Jack Sheffield)

               10.15 Morning tea

               10.45 Response – prayer groups, with healing ministry opportunity

               12 Lunch

               1pm International OSL Leaders Meeting/ Sharing meeting for Convenors

               1pm Eco-workshop 2 leaves and back at 5pm

2 Regional or national meetings

3pm Afternoon tea

               3.15 – 5.15 Interactive workshop options 8 - 14

 

               From 6pm informal NZ evening including testimonies, hangi, and concert.

Programme may look like:

                    Hangi (or roast lamb dinner with pavlova!)

                    Meeting – informal worship

                                        Testimonies from God’s working at the Conference (Rachelle)

                                        Informal singing and instruments, possible items            

                                        Supper with Conference ceremonial cake.

 

Friday 18th

               Before breakfast pack luggage

               8am Breakfast

               9am Thanks and summary of keynote speakers

               9.30 am   Conference Communion Service

               Preacher: NZ National Chaplain, President Derek Lightbourne

with national leaders concelebrating.

                                             Next Conference passing on

                              Morning tea and informal time for farewells

Lunch at 12 and depart
